Over 9 million people across the
Volcom’s Community Capacity Builders project, funded by UK Online Centres, is here to help you support those in your community who don’t currently benefit from being online.
Volcom is seeking nominations for Digital Champions from voluntary and community organisations in
Digital Champion Induction Training
Tuesday 31st January and Wednesday 15th February
10am – 12noon
Volcom Family Learning Centre
North Point Shopping Centre
(near Post Office)
If you and some colleagues or fellow volunteers would like Volcom to run a Digital Champion Training session at your premises, please get in touch. To make this viable, we would need a group of at least 5 people who want to be Digital Champions.
To be a Digital Champion, you need to be committed to supporting other people to get online. This can be in your organisation, another organisation (including us here at Volcom!), your place of work or with your friends, family and neighbours.
Digital Champions will receive training on how to help other people use the internet effectively. You’ll also find out about some great deals on computers and laptops which are available to people who want to get online in their own home.
